Barrel Smoker Dinner III

On a sleepy Thursday morning I received a text from chef extraordinaire Andrew Spurgin, “can you shoot an event tonight?” I’ve learned that when Andrew invites me to an event it behooves me to make it happen, no matter how short the notice. The third instalment of the Barrel Smoker Dinner Series was no exception.

I arrived at Planet Rooth Design Haus just as things were getting started. Andrew Spurgin of Andrew Spurgin LTD, John M Medall of the Patio on Goldfinch, and Baja’s own Adria Montaño were cooking up a storm. This was my first time seeing a barrel smoker, which is exactly what it sounds like a barrel that has been converted into a barbeque/smoker, and I think my tiny balcony may need to make room for one. The food and decor were on point and perfectly suited to the casual atmosphere.

I hope you enjoy the pictures as much as I enjoyed the food.
